Programs, resources and initiatives to promote active living for people with disabilities.

Two new documents are now available to help organizations, teachers, day cares, day homes and families in general incorporate persons with disabilities when planning physical activity. Both documents include strategies for inclusion and are suitable for children from Kindergarten to Grade 2.

Activate: Get Kids Moving
Promote active living for life by making movement a part of daily routines for infants and children. This document contains ideas for getting all pre-schoolers active, including ideas for small spaces and winter ideas for winters in the North!

Active Living for Everyone
This document contains strategies for including everyone in sport and recreation programs. It also includes a special unit on including persons with FASD (Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder) in Active Living opportunities.
